[flpsed] Bug in starting flpsed

Hi there,

I just found flpsed today, and look forward to trying it out.

However at the moment I can't get it to work. The gui loads
completely, but the white document area remains blank, with the
cursor in its 'busy' state whenever it hovers over it. The buttons
and everything still work, but the document never loads. This
happens whether I try to load a pdf / ps from the command line, or
open it with no arguments.

I'm not sure how to help debugging efforts, but will gladly help
however I can.

When running strace flpsed the following is repeatedly output every
few seconds

read(3, "\n\3N\1\2\0\300\1\0ou\t\t\0\200\1!\211\10\0108a\214\t8\255\272\t\0\0\0\0"..., 4096) = 32
read(3, 0x81e3040, 4096) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable)
read(3, "\22\0N\1\2\0\300\1\2\0\300\1\0\0\300\1\0ou\t\5\0\0\0\0@\0\0\344C\340\277"..., 4096) = 32
read(3, 0x81e3040, 4096) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable)
read(3, 0x81e3040, 4096) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable)
read(3, 0x81e3040, 4096) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable)
read(3, 0x81e3040, 4096) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable)
select(4, [3], [], [], NULL

I look forward to hearing a good way to proceed with debugging, and
working out what flpsed is looking for and failing to find.

I'm running this on a stable gentoo system, it's version 0.6.1; I
get the same behaviour whether it's compiled from source or from the
gentoo ebuild. I have fltk version 2.0_pre6786, though earlier I
tried flpsed 0.5.1 with fltk 1.1.9, with exactly the same problems.

Thanks in advance,

Nick
